Cultural Celebrations at local High School!
Recently, at Croydon High School - an independent girls’ school in Selsdon - the students celebrated their first culture day which was organised by both staff and Sixth Form students. Events of the day included learning about other cultures and a spectacular cultural showcase which had students from the ages of 5- 18 sing, dance and present their heritage to the school community. It was immensely enlightening and enjoyable to see people present their cultures with such joy and pride about where they come from. In the multicultural society that we live in today, it is becoming increasingly more important to learn about the traditions and values of others though it may differ from our own.
