The lack of carers and workers in the care sector has been a topic heavily featured in the news ever since lockdown and yet young people today are still not being directed towards careers in the care sector. I visited an old peoples’ home in Beckenham in south-east London to find out from the industry workers themselves why this is and to try and lead more young people towards considering a career in care.
