Young Reporter: Ilford Community Christmas Market - Dhruv Saini ICHS
On Saturday 9th December 2023, an environmental organisation called Transition Town Ilford and the residents on Brisbane Road came together to host their annual community Christmas market. This largely consisted of reused items to promote recycling and sustainability. As well as this, each stall was raising money for a cause of their choice, for example, food banks and Macmillan cancer support. Transition town Ilford wants to provide an alternative way of living that brings the community together to find solutions for various problems like climate change and biodiversity. They aim to unite everyone to create a better future for generations to come.
