Young Reporters: Dugsi Dayz a MUST see play in the UK

As someone who rarely goes to the theatre, a play that changed my perspective on the whole industry, was Dugsi Dayz. This play specifically focuses on what Dugsi (Islamic School) is like for Somali kids growing up. The play was written by award winning writer Sabrina Ali and was initially put on at the Richmix with funding from the Somali Arts Council, Kayd. Side eYe, an award winning production company that aims to put on Black Muslim stories at the forefront of their aims came together with Sabrina Ali to put on her play and bring it to life.
