Black Cowboy Coffee Ltd. Is a café based in Elephant and Castle that sells a variety of products. From coffee to waffles, from waffles to chicken and rice. The owner, Emeka Otagburuagu, from Nigeria, opened the shop in August 2015, finally fulfilling the vison he always loved of African American cowboys. His knowledge of the Black Cowboy history then allowed him to evolve into the cowboy persona he has now. He started in a small cart based in the old Elephant and Castle shopping centre, where he brought life to the area with his bright smile and shining personality, and of course his rich coffee. Later, in 2016, Emeka was able to get a horsebox trailer which he transformed into his new shop. Emeka stayed with this horsebox trailer for some time, dancing, smiling and serving his well-made coffee and waffles and even comics! But, during this time, news that the Elephant and Castle shopping centre was closing. So, he put his plan into action and decided he needed a shop. After immense hardships, The Black Cowboy was able to open his hard-earned shop on October 12th, 2020, in the new Elephant Arcade. Now, in 2023, his shop is still thriving with various new additions to the menu.
